Before joining a CrossFit box I was not exercising at all. I had a gym membership at a regular gym and I found myself just walking around in circles not doing anything productive. I tried a class at a Crossfit box and I was addicted. In spite of being addicted to the style of a CrossFit class, I found myself very out of shape and lost who I wanted to become. At first, I doubted myself all of the time. I watched the members do everything that I couldn’t and I often said to myself I could never be able to do that movement or lift that type of weight. Yet, I still showed up and little by little I was doing movement and lifting heavyweight that I thought I would never accomplish. It wasn’t an overnight thing and it wasn’t just showing up just in time of a class or booking out as soon as the class ended. It was me showing up 15-20 minutes early or staying 15-20 after a class and practicing over and over a movement until I got it.
